💰 How to Gain Money & Progress

The easiest way to start earning money is by picking up quests. These quests guide you naturally through normal gameplay and reward you while you play.

• Quests can be accepted at Outpost.
• Quests are also available at the Offering location.
• They are designed to complete automatically while you play.

Almost everything you do on the server can generate money or rewards. You don’t need to grind one single activity.

• Killing NPCs
• Looting monuments and containers
• Participating in events
• Farming resources
• Completing quests along the way

Events and bosses are one of the most rewarding activities on the server. They are designed to provide both challenge and profit.

• Bosses drop items that can be sold for money.
• Most events provide some form of currency or reward.
• Higher risk usually means higher rewards.

Once you are more established, you can move on to using Virtual Quarries.

• Virtual Quarries generate resources over time.
• They allow you to earn money even while offline.
• Type /sell in game to sell your Metal frags and HQM.
• This is one of the best long-term income sources.

Another powerful way to earn money on Royal Rust is by selling items to The Dealer.

• The Dealer buys rare items, special loot, and certain drugs for money.
• He does not spawn naturally in the world.
• To contact him, you must use a Burner Phone.
• Burner Phones can be found inside loot containers on the road and in raid bases.
• After calling, the Dealer will send you his temporary location.
• Type /wiki in game chat and search for the dealer to see the items that can be sold.
• Be quick — the Dealer does not stay in one place for long.

Selling items to the Dealer is a great way to turn uncommon or risky loot into fast money, especially if you focus on events or boss farming.

At the Offering location, you can not only participate in special events, but also quickly earn rewards by completing required item sets.
